ITINERARY:
1st day:
Arrival in Zermatt by train 2nd class from the Swiss border or airport. Zermatt, at the foot of the Matterhorn, is the perfect alpine resort. on arrival you might take the opportunity to go on an optional excursion to rothorn paradise to enjoy the best view of the Matterhorn. overnight in Zermatt.
2nd day:
An incomparable experience awaits you today: The Zermatt bergbahnen aG takes you up to the highest cable car station in Europe on 12’739ft. The 360° panorama is unique: 14 of the largest glaciers in the alps, 38 stunning over 4000 meter high italian, French and Swiss mountains surround you. Even the Mont blanc seems close enough to touch. Do not miss their new highlights: Snow-Tubing, Cinema lounge, Glacier pal- ace, peak Shop, Viewing platform. overnight in Zermatt.
3rd day:
Travel either via Visp and the lötschberg base tunnel to interlaken. or by the re- gioExpress lötschberger – the train with big windows using the lötschberg mountain route, passing the rhone Valley and also the inposing Kander viaduct, the helical tunnel around the Felsenburg and further to inter- laken. overnight in interlaken.
4th day:
Excursion to the «James-bond-Mountain» (film location). First the train takes you from interlaken ost to lauterbrunnen where you board the bus to Stechelberg. From there several cable cars take you up to Schilthorn piz Gloria – at 2970 m/9’744 ft. a spectacu- lar 360° panorama view awaits you – some 200 snow-capped peaks, ranging from the bernese alps to Mont blanc in France and Germany‘s black Forest. an additional high- light is the world‘s first revolving mountain restaurant at an altitude of nearly 3000 m. overnight in interlaken.
5th day:
Return to Swiss border or airport or continue your stay at your own request.
