Gotthard Panorama Express
Lucerne-Flüelen (by boat, travel time 2.45 hours)
Flüelen-Locarno (by train, travel time 2.15 hours)
Flüelen-Lugano (by train, travel time 2.28 hours, change trains in Bellinzona)
The journey starts from Lucerne the harbour located right next to the famous Chapel Bridge by a steam ship where passengers continue on a mesmerising cruise via Lake Luzern and sail across to Flüelen. Many locations steeped in history such as the Rütliwiese, the Schillerstein and Tell Chapel greet guests with their original Swiss charms.
From Flüelen, one boards the 1st class train that travels from the heart of Switzerland over the Alps towards the Mediterranean south and via the Gotthard Base Tunnel – World’s Longest Train Tunnel. The church of Wassen can be seen from three different angles; thanks to the bold railway layout with its many loop tunnels it has become world-famous.
Apart from the many sights, passengers enjoy special presentations about history, myths and legends around Gotthard during this historic journey through time. Last but not least, the culinary aspect will not be neglected: Guests may indulge in warm meals on the steamboat or enjoy snacks and beverages on the train.
The journey can easily be traveled in the opposite direction too.

The Centovalli Express is so much more than the fastest connection between Ticino and Valais. It takes under two hours.
