Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Vienna, Austria
Welcome to Vienna, the capital city of Austria. Vienna is a popular destination amongst tourists, especially from USA. Tourism in Vienna offers variety of sightseeing and entertainment options.
On arrival, get the private transfer to your centrally located hotel.
Day at leisure and Overnight stay at Paris.
Day 2: Vienna – Danube valley
This all-day trip starts in Vienna and takes you to the beautiful Danube Valley: In the Wachau region, which is steeped in history and legends, the Danube winds its way past many picturesque towns and vineyards. Our comfortable coach takes you from Vienna to Krems, the heart of the Wachau winegrowing region. Depending on the season, we either have a short break there or drive through the historical city centre.
We continue onward to Dürnstein and Spitz, then we drive towards to Melk. You can enjoy your lunch at the restaurant at Melk Abbey. In Melk, the coach awaits you to take you to the nearby Benedictine Abbey. The highlight of the trip is a guided tour of the abbey, one of Austria’s most famous baroque buildings. The tour ends at the Vienna State Opera.
During the summer months enjoy a lovely boat ride and during the winter months enjoy a delicious lunch.
Day 3: Vienna
Today tour starts with a ride past the famous historic sights of Ringstraße boulevard. You will see magnificent State Opera, the Imperial Palace, the Museum of Art History, Parliament, City Hall and Burgtheater. From there, our tour takes us to Schönbrunn Palace, the former Imperial summer residence. There we get a glimpse of the lives of Empress Sisi and Emperor Franz Joseph on a guided tour of the State Rooms – with no waiting time.
Overnight in Vienna.
Day 4: Vienna – Salzburg
After breakfast proceed to Salzburg.
Later in Afternoon, enjoy the tour offers those guests who have a very limited time in the city the opportunity to see as much as possible in a short space of time.
Places to see: Mirabell Palace, Mozarteum (University of Music), Marionette Theatre, Mozart’s Residence, Trinity Church, Hellbrunn Palace (short stop), Palace of Frohnburg, Nonnberg Abbey, Siegmund‘s Gate, Festival Halls, Horse Bath, Getreidegasse, Blasius Church and Mozart Square.

Day 5: Salzburg – Hallstatt – Salzburg
Today Start the journey travelling through the famous Salzkammergut (Lake district) to Hallstatt known as the “Pearl of the Salzkammergut”, passing many local villages on route which introduce you to the local area. On arrival in Hallstatt it is hard to know where to start, perhaps with a mountain train ride up to the “World Heritage View” viewing platform, giving you both a magnificent view and helping you understand how Hallstatt started life. Take a leisurely lakeside walk seeing how the houses above you cling onto the mountainside, pass by the Mullbach waterfall which allowed Hallstatt somewhere to grow. A visit to the local museum is also interesting (optional) or a visit to the “Bone House” behind the Catholic church, proving an interesting view into local family life. We then travel back via Abtenau and Russbach to Gosau, where the Gosau lake is located. This lake is famous for its beautiful view onto the Dachstein Mountain Area.

Day 6: Salzburg – Original sound of music – Salzburg
Relive with us the making of the 'Sound of Music‘ movie in and around Salzburg. This tour, which has been Salzburg’s most popular tour since 1967, is a combination of both historical Salzburg and the breathtaking Lakes and Mountains region. We will show you many of the film locations from the ‘Sound of Music’ and share not only background stories of the movie but also the history and culture of the region. Find out with us whether the hills of Salzburg truly are alive with the ‘Sound of Music’ as you listen to the original movie Soundtrack along the way.

Day 7: Salzburg – Innsbruck – Wattens
After breakfast, proceed to Innsbruck, the provincial capital of Tyrol. On arrival, take orientation tour of Innsbruck.
Explore crystal in all its facets at the Swarovski Crystal Worlds museum in Wattens. Enter a fantasy world that has fascinated millions of visitors, and discover the gardens of the “Giant," a family-friendly play-tower, café and restaurant, and more. Overnight stay at Innbruck.
Day 8: Innsbruck – Linz – Vienna
After breakfast, proceed to Linz, a city in Upper Austria, straddling the Danube River midway between Salzburg and Vienna. Baroque buildings, including Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus) and the old cathedral or Alter Dom, ring Hauptplatz, the old town’s main square. Post orientation tour or Linz – proceed to Vienna.
Overnight stay at Vienna.
Day 9: Vienna – Departure
After breakfast, private transfer to Airport for your onward journey, Tour Conclude.
