Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival Zurich After arrival at Zurich airport, pick-up your rental car and drive to the city and check in at the hotel. Depending on arrival time, take the opportunity to discover the world famous shopping mile Bahnhofstrasse or stroll along the banks of Lake Zurich. Overnight in Zurich.
Day 2
Zurich – Bern – Interlaken Today you will drive from Zurich to Interlaken via Bern. After arriving in the Swiss capital Bern, discover the old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the arcades, one of the longest weather-sheltered shopping promenades in Europe with six kilometre length. Drive on to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 3
Discover Interlaken Situated between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, Interlaken offers an amazing diversity of sport and outdoor activities. Take a dip in the cool refreshing lake, enjoy a pinic by the water’s edge, or soak up the sun at one of the regional lakeshore bathing. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 4
Excursion to Jungfraujoch – Top of Europe The Jungfrau Railway, which leads through the heart of the mountains and up to the highest train station in Europe (3454 m), offers unbelievable views of the mountain giants Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, and of the Aletsch glacier, which is the longest glacier with 22 km length. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 5
Excursion to Maison Cailler and Gruyere or Emmentaler Showdairy and Kambly Experience
Option 1: Maison Cailler and Gruyere. Explore the lovely old medieval town of Gruyere with its castle and taste the world famous cheese of Gruyere, well known for its unique flavor. Next stop is Broc with the well-known Maison Caillier, chocolate factory of Nestlé. Discover the process of chocolate manufacturing and taste the chocolate. Overnight in Interlaken.
Option 2: Emmentaler Showdairy and Kambly Experience in Trubschachen. Visit the Kambly Experience and explore the secrets of fine biscuit making, learn about the origins of Kambly and experience moments of pure bliss. Drive on to the Emmentaler showdiary, where you can help during the cream cheese production. The rest of the day explore Emmental before you drive back to Interlaken. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 6
Excursion to First mountain including First Flyer Travel by car to Grindelwald and continue by cable car to First mountain. The First Flyer promises pure thrills. You will sit in a securely designed carriage for the rapid descent from First to Schreckfeld. Overnight in Interlaken.
Day 7
Interlaken – Lucerne – Zurich Today you will visit Lucerne. The city at Lake Lucerne is the gateway to central Switzerland and is embedded within an impressive mountain panorama. Visit the Chapel Bridge – one of Europe’s oldest wooden bridges. Time for souvenir shopping before you drive to Zurich.
Overnight in Zurich.
Day 8
Departure After breakfast drop-off at the airport.
